I’m a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from IIN in NYC. I’m also a mother of 2 boys,  a recipe developer for a local food distributor here in upstate NY, a still life photographer, and a writer.

What I mainly do here at Wholesome Gal is focus on connection. I specialize in helping others CONNECT to themselves so they can better connect to food & their food choices. Because once you become more connected to yourself and understand why you do what you do, you can have complete control over your food. FREEDOM! Living life  healthier & happier!

Read my story below...

A little about how I got to this place of helping others:

I don’t have some dramatic story of chronic illness (thank goodness) or any major moment that jumped started my career in the Wellness field…I did, however, suffer from a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Orchestrally, all those “bits” made me overall not feel very well. I suffered from:

  • Anxiety

  • Feeling fatigued 4-7 days of the week (Hello coffee 3X a day!)

  • Painful & moody PMS

  • Bouts of depression that would last 2-4 days every other month.

  • Extra weight that wouldn’t budge unless I practically starved myself

  • Bloating/gassiness

  • Hormonal headaches lasting 2-3 days straight

  • Puffiness

  • Dull skin- and lack of that “glow”

  • Over-caffeinated

  • Foggy brain

  • Irrational fears

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Mood swings

  • Not feeling satiated

  • Acne

  • Upset stomach

…..and all that added up to a pretty unhappy, unhealthy me. I wasn’t extremely overweight, I only had headaches 2-3 day a month (that’s normal, right??), I couldn’t make a decision, my stomach was always irritated or upset, I mean, I considered myself “healthy” and frankly, I didn’t know any better and I accepted a lot of my symptoms as “normal”.  Or, I chalked a lot of what I was experiencing up to:

”Oh, I’m a mom”, or “Oh, I didn’t sleep  well”, or “It runs in my family. It's genetic”.

I didn’t know what to do in order to get from feeling drab and slow to….VIBRANT!

"What more could I possibly do??" I asked myself constantly. I was working out all the time.

All I knew was that I wasn’t THRIVING nor was I my best self which lead to me not being my best in all areas of my life.

I wanted to be better. I wanted to stop feeling “just OK”. To stop barely getting through the day and relying on coffee all day long, to not

SHOW UP in my life because I just lacked the confidence in myself.

I wanted vigor, vibrancy patience, calmness, energy, happiness within myself, less painful PMS symptoms, balance, glow, and to stop obsessing over what the scale told me and instead go by how my body felt and my mind.

Go back even 1 year ago, my weight was something I obsessed over. I’d go on the scale about 2 times every single day and sadly, my mood depended on what the scale told me. (Oh, and I had 2 different scales and would go off the one that told me the least amount.) Ugh, I cringe that I used to live like that. However, I didn’t know any better, I thought how MUCH food I was putting in my body was more important than what KIND of food I was putting into my body on a consistent basis. And that all changed when I enrolled into nutrition school and began to understand there was so much more I wasn’t understanding….and that’s….the bigger picture to health.
